Sometimes you have to surrender to your inner nerd. How amazing is this story? I can just see the panic stricken face of Dr. Edward Bowen as he fights the WWII throngs on the dock! I love the old time movies I see in my head! A bit of fog, every thing's grey, how romantic...Yes, I know this is the least romantic true story ever! But work with me here.

In the summer of 1940, the war with Germany was at a critical stage...
