I am feeling fall! Heavier fabrics, pleats, folds - details and structure. And dresses, dresses, dresses! I am ready for tights and boots and heels with ankle straps and military inspired coats with shiny buttons and capes...breathe. Oh my.

A couple of years back I worked on Charlotte Brody's site design. I completely forgot all about her, until I worked with her programmer again recently. I adore most of her Fall '08 collection - but I really love this swingy, giant bow sporting coat! I kinda heart it in dress form too. Oh Char, why must your clothes be the kind only the Trumps can afford?

300 - THE NEW NUMBER?
The dailymail (via buzzfeed) very nicely tells us 15+ partners makes you a tramp (and if they think I buy, that a French Supermodel only had 15, I'll eat my shoe for dinner). I am not a number based gal - as much as any single, disease free, and wants to stay that way, gal - can be (who sucks at balancing a checkbook), but go with me here:
Typical dating convention says 3 dates = sex.
Active Dater has 2 partners with 3+ dates per month
Hence: 2 x 12 = 24 partners per year
Active Dater for 10 years
Thus: 24 x 10 = 240 partners
So you do the math. Maybe I've got it all wrong. But between SATC (Miranda's List on that episode about Chlamydia was like 4 pages) and life in a big city, I don't think so. In just the decade of your 20's, that is 240. Most of us started nightime excursions before age 20 and (if I can use my bevy of gal friendlies), are getting hitched after 30.
Maybe 300 isn't so crazy after all.

WBH(wnm): D & I are good but the cat's started bouncing off the walls like a pinball machine played by Dolly Partons breasts which makes me want to have more earthquakes.
Damnit: Everything is cool here. My toothpaste fell over though. The song playing on my iTunes shuffle right now is "you shook me all night long" AC/DC :)

LA had a good sized shaker this morning. It was a nice rolling motion that knocked out all the phones and lasted nearly a minute. I am going to call it a free foot massage and continue on with my day. Thanks all my lovelies for your texts and emails!!

I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE!!
NUT SACK ON NATIONAL TV!!
I have pondered this ad for a week or 2 now. In my brain I know that they must be saying NUT SNACK, but then again, the darn things come in bags so...maybe? Either way, people this is just wrong!
And very funny.
I googled the term (yes I googled "NUT SACK") to see if I was imagining this whole phenomenon, and (thankfully!) I am not. Other bloggers are all a-giggle over this, just like me. I have to say that even though I have just written that NUT SACK would be wrong, it would also be wickedly clever. I might even buy those nuts, and I don't like nuts.
* Update - I saw the ad again while writing this post and wouldn't you know, they have changed their tag line to something like, great natural snack. Not funny.
